General Zubair Mehmood Hayat has been appointed as the new Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee.
Lieutenant-General Zubair Mahmood Hayat HI(M), is Pakistani army general who is the current Chief of General Staff.
He served as Corps Commander Bahawalpur and Director-General of Strategic Plans Division Force before assuming office of Chief of General Staff.
He was also Principal Staff Officer with former Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani as a Brigadier.
As a major general, Hayat served as General Officer Commanding in Sialkot and also headed the Staff Duties at Directorate.
