Russia interested to invest in Pakistan Energy and Automobile sectors

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Russian businessmen headed by Ildar Mingaleev visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry ICCI and expressed his desire to invest in Pakistan’s energy and automobile sectors. Ildar Mingaleev is the Deputy Minister, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan. The delegation met with the officials of Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Gas Development Company to discuss joint ventures in the Oil and Gas exploration fields. Ildar Mingalvee said that Russian’ energy company Gazprom is interest in supplying LNG to Pakistan while RT Global Resources, part of the Russian state corporation Rostec, will construct a 1,100km North-South gas pipeline in Pakistan by 2020 to link LNG terminals from Karachi to Lahore.” He added. He further stated that Russians investors want to invest in the manufacturing of heavy duty trucks, passenger cars and other specialized vehicles etc. speaking on the occasion, ICCI president Atif Ikram said Pakistan want to develop a close relation with Russia.
