NEW DELHI: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday came out in support of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan over his remark on the perceived intolerance in the country. Intolerance debate rages on as Aamir Khan says alarmed when wife suggested leaving India. "Instead of branding all those who question the government and Modiji as unpatriotic, anti-national or motivated. The government would do better to reach out to people to understand what's disturbing them," Rahul said in a series of tweets. "That's the way to solve problems in India - not by bullying, threatening and abusing," the Congress leader added. Complaint lodged against Aamir Khan for his intolerance remark. Rahul's statement backing Aamir Khan comes at time when the Bollywood actor is facing severe criticism from various quarters over his remark that his wife Kiran Rao had suggested that they should move out of the country in the wake of recent happenings. Aamir's Bollywood colleague Anupam Kher, who recently led a counter-award wapsi march in the national capital, criticised him for giving such a statement while advising him not to spread "fear".
