Top PTM leaders arrested by Security Forces for opening fire at Pakistan Army Checkposts

MIRANSHAH – Security forces on Sunday arrested Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Mohsin Dawar and his supporters for allegedly opened fire at an Army check-post in North Waziristan’s Miran Shah.

“The disgruntled PTM protesters first chanted slogans against the soldiers deputed at the security checkpoint, and, then later opened fire at the soldiers, reported local media.

Dawar, who is also a Member National Assembly (MNA) was present in the Ditta Khel area when the clash erupted between forces and the miscreants.

The PTM armed supporters were continuously provoking the locals against the Army and raising anti-army slogans before they opened fire at the security personnel deputed at the check posts in the area.

Earlier, on May 6, a first information report (FIR) was registered against members of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement’s (PTM) central committee including MNA Ali Wazir in North Waziristan.
