MOSCOW - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu revealed that the country's Air Force used the fifth generation Su-57 fighter jet in Syria mission.
Shoygu said that the Russian air force used the Su-57 fighter jet while carrying out airstrikes over several militant targets inside Syria in February 2018, the AMN reported.
In particular, Shoygu revealed that the Su-57 fighter jet had fired the Russian military’s most modern cruise missile, Kh-59MK2, during it brief operation in past winter.
Also, a Syrian military source told the AMN that the Su-57 was primarily used in the Northern Hama.
The source added that the Russian aircraft had repeatedly bombed Jeish al-Izzah’s positions inside the towns of Kafr Zita and al-Latamina.
