*KARACHI: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Tuesday completely opened the airspace of Pakistan and resumed flight operations at airports of Sialkot, Bhawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan.*
According to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), the airspace of Pakistan will be entirely operational from now onwards after a month of frequent closures.
A spokesperson of the Pakistan International Airline said the schedule for designated flights from the aforementioned airports has been issued.
Pakistan’s airspace was closed and flight operations were suspended in the end February, due to escalation of tensions with neighboring India, as two warplanes of India were downed by Pakistan Air Force after their intrusion into the country’s airspace.
