ISLAMABAD:

Now the Parliament Lodges in Pakistan are not crime free as an incident of theft worth millions has taken place in one of the flats of the Parliament Lodges in Islamabad.

A lawmaker from the ruling party has complained that her valuables have been stolen from her allotted accommodation in the Parliament Lodges.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Shaista Pervaiz, an MNA on a reserved seat for women, told Secretariat police that her diamond and gold jewellery had been stolen from her flat in the Lodges.

Pervaiz told police that after using the jewellery, she placed the valuables in a suitcase on the evening of March 15. She left for Lahore the next day along with the suitcase.

A few days later when she opened the suitcase, she discovered that the jewellery was missing. Pervaiz said she came back to Islamabad and searched her flat but did not find the missing items.
