LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Team Captain in 1992, Imran Khan has unveiled the secret behind the team success in 1992 World Cup.
Skipper of Pakistan’s cricket team at the time when the greens won World Cup 1992, Imran Khan has said on Saturday that passion of the players during the event was worth seeing.
March 25 marks silver jubilee of Pakistan winning the only World Cup in cricket so far.
While talking to Dunya News in programme ‘Tez Tar 5’, Khan said that it is sad that Pakistan has not been able to win the World Cup again like the team did in 1992. He called for taking steps to better domestic cricket.
Pakistan can win the World Cup again if domestic cricket is bettered, he asserted.
In connection with the silver jubilee, Khan lauded the efforts of the entire team to lift the trophy for the first time ever.
While answering a question, he said that the team in 1992 never surrendered to bad times.
