QUETTA: The FC Balochistan forces, during their search and surveillance operation averted terrorist IED attack in Balochistan.

ISPR said the troops recovered and defused an IED planted on Turbat-Dasht road.

“The IED was planted to disrupt census process in the area and target security forces. Action saved possible loss of life and threat to census process,” ISPR said in a statement.

The surveillance was part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.


On the other hand, 41 suspects were arrested during search operations in Peshawar and Hangu district on Sunday morning.

According to detail, 15 suspects including two proclaimed offenders were arrested in different areas of Peshawar while 26 suspects including four proclaimed offenders were arrested in Hangu.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from them, officials said.
