Arrest of foreign agencies spies is proof of external interference: Interior Minister 

KALLAR SYEDAN: (APP) Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Saturday said cowardly acts of terrorism could not end the resolve of government and intelligence agencies to root out the menace from the country.

Talking to the media after attending a condolence reference for the departed soul of senior PML-N leader Muhammad Irshad here, he said the terrorists were targeting soft targets like renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri, which was showing their frustration.

He said the security and intelligence agencies were making efforts for maintaining peace and security in the country, which were appreciable.

Arrest of spies of foreign countries was an ample proof of their performance.

He said law and order situation had improved due to successful efforts of the law enforcement agencies, who were fully geared up to face any kind of challenge.

Nisar condemned the killing of Amjad Sabri and abduction of son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice. Such cowardly terrorist acts would further boost the nation's commitment against the menace of terrorism, he added.

He said even the most developed countries like the United States and France had to witness a few terrorist incidents despite all kinds of security arrangements in place.

The government and the security forces would continue the fight against terrorism till its complete elimination, he added.

The minister said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Justice (R) Wajihuddin and Chairman Accountability Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had resigned but none of the PTI leaders had denied the allegations levelled against themselves.

He said the system of Exit Control List (ECL) had been made transparent as a number of people's names, that had been placed 30 years ago, were removed.

He said the name of model Ayan Ali was included in ECL on the request of Vigilance Wing of Ministry of Finance, Moreover, before the removal of her name from the list on the court directives, the Interior Ministry had also received an application from the Punjab Home Department to keep the model's name in the ECL for she was wanted in the investigation of murder case of an accountability officer, he added.

The Interior Ministry, he said, was not authorized to add or remove the name of any person from ECL on its own.

The minister also took aerial view of the welfare city project.

Earlier, the minister listened to the problems of local people and directed for early resolution of their complaints.

He also directed for preparing the feasibility report of a modern park in order to provide recreational facilities to the people.

He also announced to establish a 100-bed hospital in area of Kaller Syedan.

He said work on the establishment of a 500-bed hospital was under way in Taxila while 850 kanals of land had been retrieved from land mafia in Chaklala, where graveyard, place for funeral prayer, 650-bed hospital, park and stadium would constructed.

The minister also prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul of contractor Muhammad Irshad in eternal peace.

He also announced to build 2.5 kilometer road in name of late Muhammad Irshad.
