Shahbaz rejects election results, alleging rigging

ISLAMABAD: President Pakistan Muslim League-N Shahbaz Sharif has rejected the election results, alleging rigging.

At a press conference in Lahore tonight, Shahbaz Sharif said results have been manipulated to steal the public mandate.

He said the caretaker government and the Election Commission of Pakistan have failed in their duty of conducting free and fair elections and both are responsible for this situation.

PML-N President said polling agents of the PML-N were not given Form-45 and also forcibly expelled from the polling stations.

Meanwhile, addressing a news conference in Karachi Leader of Opposition in the Senate and PPP leader Sherry Rehman said questions are being raised about election results.

She said her party will agitate if Form 45 is not given on time.

And JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said they would not accept what he said rigged results. In a statement, he said an All Parties Conference will be convened soon to discuss the issue.
