U.S., Taliban resume Afghan peace talks

The U.S. Special envoy for peace in Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad held a meeting with senior Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar in Qatar as the two sides resumed talks today.
Zalmay Khalilzad in a tweet said that he had a working lunch with Mullah Baradar and his team. He said that he has met the Taliban leader for the first time and moving on to talks.
