Pakistan's Samina Baig appointed as UN goodwill Ambassador

ISLAMABAD - The United Nations Development Programme has appointed renowned mountaineer Samina Baig as the National Goodwill Ambassador for Pakistan.
Samina Baig is the first Pakistani woman who scaled the Mount Everest and will lead efforts to build national awareness and partnerships around the Sustainable Development Goals.
In particular for those related to climate change, environmental protection and women’s empowerment.
