Fake campaign launched on social media against Judges families

LAHORE – A picture claiming to be a photo of the daughter of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar is being circulated on Facebook by some miscreants, in fact, is a fake photo.

As per details, a picture shared on Pakistan Muslims League unofficial fan page in which three young girls wearing the headscarf of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) flags is doing rounds on social media and some people are trying to relate one girl to CJP Saqib Nisar so that political unrest can be created in the country.

It is revealed that the picture is fake and it has no link with the honourable CJP. The girl, marked with a red circle, is in fact not CJP’s daughter nor related to him in any way.

This types of mischief is only being done to defame honourable courts and judges and tarnish the judiciary image, it can be surmised.

However, since anyone can make a fan page on social media and the page which shared it is not an official PMLN page, the correct source of the image and misleading caption could not be verified.

Given the sensitivity of the issue and its emotional undercurrents, we request our readers to not fall prey to social media hoaxes and follow only verified sources for updates.
