Federal Government to give outstanding arrears of Rs. 70 billion to KPK
ISLAMABAD: KPK and Federal government have resolved their outstanding matters in energy sector including arrears of hydel net profit. Federal government will pay arrears of Rs. 70 billion in 4 years while exclusive rights of gas supply has been given to provincial government for power generation.

 

As per details, an MOU has been signed between federal and provincial government after the settlement of all matters. Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, KPK CM Pervaiz Khattak and members of provincial cabinet were present at the occasion.

 

Speaking at the occasion, Ishaq Dar said that the success of the dialogues with KPK government is the reflection of reconciliation policy of PM Nawaz government.

 

He added that the issues of KPK government were pending for a long time while these issues had not been resolved by previous governments. Ultimately this issue has been resolved by PML-N government while KPK and Federal government played a positive role in this regard.

 

KPK CM Khattak expressed his pleasure over the settlement of the matters between federal and KPK government and said that it is a big day for KPK because its issues have been resolved.

 

CM also thanked to Ishaq Dar and Federal government for showing sincerity, resolving dispute between both governments.
