Turkey warns France 'no benefit' in staying in Syria

Turkey says France will not gain in any way by retaining forces to protect a Kurdish militia in Syria.

This is stated by Turkish foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu after France announced it would maintain a presence despite United States pull-out announcement.

He said Ankara viewed the US-backed the People's Protection Units militia as a terrorist offshoot of Kurdish insurgents inside Turkey.
