ISLAMABAD - The Indian paranoia in Occupied Kashmir has jolted the social media websites with top trends on twitter supporting the Kashmir cause and lambasting Indian atrocities in the territory.

'Listen to Kashmir ' and 'Free Kashmir from Hitler' have become top trends on twitter as people from all walks of life in India as well as across the world tweeted in support of Kashmiri people`s rights.

An Indian Suchitra Vijayan writes that as Indians we should be ashamed, and mortified at what the Indian State is doing in Kashmir .

US Congressman Adam Schiff wrote the situation in Kashmir remains deeply concerning, with thousands of civilians still detained without charges and with no access to the outside world.

He said fundamental human rights like free speech and access to information must be protected.

US House of Representatives member Pramila Jayapal tweeted that she is deeply troubled by reports of Indian government`s arrests of thousands of people in Kashmir .

She said use of fear and hyper-patriotism as tools to suppress dissent is detrimental.
