IOK: Indian troops martyr two Kashmiri youth in Bijbehara

In occupied Kashmir , Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth including a physiotherapist, Burhan-ud-Din Ganai, in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district, today.

The youth were martyred by troops during a cordon and search operation.

Meanwhile, flouting restrictions, thousands of people including women and children participated in the funerals of the martyrs, Burhan and Safdar Amin today.

Following multiple funerals, the martyrs were laid to rest amid high-pitched pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans.

The killing triggered spontaneous protests and shutdown while the authorities snapped internet service in the district. Several people were injured when forces used brute force on protesters in Islamabad town.

Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, today, visited the residence of illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, at Maisuma in Srinagar and expressed solidarity with his family members.

According to a JKLF spokesman, Muhammad Yasin Malik in a message from his detention said that freedom fighters did not fear concocted cases and frivolous charges.

He maintained that such tactics had always failed in the past and were bound to fail in future, as well.

India’s Enforcement Directorate issued a second summons to the 19-year-old, Sama Shabbir, daughter of illegally detained APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in the name of questioning.

The ED issued notice despite knowing that Sama is pursuing her studies in the UK. The notice relates to a fake case of 2005 when she was five years old.

All Jammu and Kashmir Students Union in a statement denounced the harassment of Kashmiri students by Indian forces in connection with fraudulent Indian parliamentary elections in the territory.

The student union termed the summoning of students from Shopian and Pulwama to police stations as deplorable.

Dukhtaran-e-Millat in a statement said that health condition of illegally detained party leader, Fehmeeda Sofi had worsened inside New Delhi’s Tihar jail.

APHC-AJK leaders addressing a Kashmir conference in Muzaffarabad said that anti-Muslim policies being pursued by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi were posing a great threat to the global peace.

The conference was organized by the APHC constituent, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League.
