ISLAMABAD - Federal government has taken important decision over the issue of terrorism cases against PTM leaders.
A case against 37 Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) activists in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has been withdrawn by authorities in Islamabad.
They were booked for arranging protests against the state institutions, including the armed forces.
Police had earlier registered an FIR against PTM workers at Kohsar police station for chanting slogans against the state and Pakistan Army.
A special prosecutor submitted a statement on behalf of the government official, praying for the withdrawal of the case.
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police ordered the arrest of PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen, MNA Ali Wazir and six others after they were declared proclaimed offenders.
