CJP Justice Saqib Nisar's offer to General (R) Pervaiz Musharraf

ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar has asked the former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf to return to the country, assuring him that he would be given security by Rangers on his return.

During the hearing of National Reconciliation Ordinance case against Musharraf and others at Supreme Court, the CJP said that if Musharraf returns and appear before courts in pending cases against him, he will be provided full security.

He said that the retired general will get to stay at in his farm house in Chak Shehzad. The CJP continued saying that Musharraf will also be provided medical facilities of his choice, local media reported.

When the CJP inquired as to why Musharraf has not returned, he was informed by Musharraf’s lawyer that the retired general was not coming back due to security issues. The CJP assured the lawyer that once Musharraf returns to Pakistan and records his statements he will be free to go wherever he wants.
