Hostile Agencies and their agents criticising Pakistan Army: COAS

RAWALPINDI: Hostile agencies from abroad are trying to destabilise Pakistan and criticise the army, said Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday.

The COAS was on a visit to a village near Murree to meet the parents of Lieutenant Arsalan Alam, who was martyred in Rajgal area of Khyber Agency on September 23.

“They consider the army as a hurdle in [the way of] their nefarious designs,” the army chief said. “[But] no power can harm us till our soil has such valiant sons and their brave parents.”

The army chief offered prayer at the martyr’s grave and said Alam was the only son to his parents and brother to three sisters, despite which he preferred his country over himself and his family.

The army shall continue to perform in the best interest of the country, he said, adding they will stand by the nation against all challenges.
