Trump's move of slapping tariffs on imports violates int'l trade rules: China

BEIJING:China says Beijing is ready to defend its interests after President Donald Trump announced plans to slap tariffs on nearly fifty billion dollars in Chinese imports.

Talking to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin telephonically today, Chinese Vice Premier Liu He expressed the hope that the two sides will stay rational and work together to maintain the overall stability of their economic and trade relations.
