Imran Khan hits out hard at PM Khaqan Abbasi over remarks against Chairman Senate

*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has hit back hard at Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abassi over the issue of Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani. *

*Khan on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for crying foul over the recently-held Senate elections.*

In a tweet, the PTI chief said: “So now PM Abbasi is crying abt horse-trading & money deciding Senate elections! If his party was so concerned why didn’t they support PTI’s proposals to change Senate election format to prevent exactly these shenanigans?”

A day earlier, the premier voiced concern over the election of the Senate chairman, underlining the need for electing a consensus chairman of the Upper House of Parliament.

He alleged that votes were purchased in the Senate elections.

Hitting out at Abbasi, the PTI chief asked, “How cld [could] Panama case & it’s verdict have derailed development when it indicted NS [Nawaz Sharif] for money laundering? Does PM Abbasi feel a money launderer shd [should] be above the law bec[ause] of some imagined ongoing development?
