Complete shutdown in Occupied Kashmir today against arrest of Hurriyat leaders

In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed on Tuesday against illegal arrest of a number of Hurriyat leaders.

Call for the strike has been given by Joint resistance leadership, comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Indian authorities arrested seven Hurriyat leaders in Srinagar, Monday, after implicating them in false cases.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Occupied Kashmir has said that the forcible closure of Srinagar Jamia Masjid by the Indian forces has deprived thousands of Muslims from attending Friday prayers, which is a grave violation of the fundamental right of the people.
