Pakistan decides to give eVisas to 175 countries

ISLAMABAD - With the aim to revive tourism, the government will be introducing new visa policy, in which 50 countries will be given visas on arrival, whereas, e-visas will be provided to 175 countries.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry speaking to the media on Friday, announced that in this new policy introduced by the government, 50 countries will be given visas on arrival, whereas, e-visas will be provided to 175 countries.
Chaudhry said that Indian origin American and British citizens will also be given visas on arrival. He further said that business visa will be provided to 96 countries, instead of 68 countries. He said, “The business visas will be stamped in eight to ten days.”
The minister continued that tourists no longer have to obtain any NOC and can now visit all parts of the country including open cantonments, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Talking about journalist visas, Chaudhry said that they will be given long term visas without any restriction, local media reported.
He said that journalist visas will be processed through the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
