Arrest Warrants issues against GM Pakistan Railways by LHC

LAHORE - The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday issued bailable arrest warrants for Railways GeneralManager (GM) Aftab Akbar for not appearing before the court despite being summoned. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan passed the orders while hearing a petition, filed by one Naseem Akhtar regarding a land dispute. The court had summoned the GM for Friday after no reply was filed by him to the petition, which was pending since 2017. However, the GM failed to appear before the court in the case. At this, the court took a strict notice of his abscence and issued bailable arrest warrants while adjouring the further hearing till January 29.
