AJK invites overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris in State for promotion of investment

MIRPUR (AJK): Encouraging the facilitation of overseas Pakistanis willing to invest in the country including AJK, President of Azad Jammu Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said that Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir provide huge potential for investors in numerous sectors including industry, tourism, mineral extraction, construction and energy.

The President made these remarks during meeting with Ghulam Mustafa, President Overseas Pakistani Investment Convention (OPIC), Syed Tabay Hamdani and Fahad Javed, who also briefed the President on the upcoming OPIC 2019 Event to be held in Islamabad.

The delegation informed that this event would help in facilitating and providing an opportunity to overseas Pakistanis to come forward and learn about the government’s policy relating to investment especially in the real estate, tourism, industrial sectors within Pakistan.

He said that our aim was to present a soft image of Pakistan by promoting positive aspects like tourism, trade, hospitality and performing arts.

They informed that with the investment event is being organized in collaboration with Punjab Board of Investment and Trade. This Convention will bring forth important aspects of the potential for overseas Pakistanis as a whole and invite them to build their stakes further in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.

President Masood Khan commended the efforts of the OPIC management for this very positive step towards encouraging overseas Pakistanis for investing in Pakistan. The President said that it was necessary to facilitate overseas Pakistanis willing to investing in Pakistan and AJK.

The President said that the AJK Government will actively participate in the OPIC Investment Convention and will positively promote investment opportunities present in Azad Kashmir. He said that such activities are pertinent to instil a sense of confidence among overseas Pakistanis in directing the investments towards Pakistan.
