*Raising the issue of extremism and Kashmir with the Indian government, US President Donald Trump has once again offered to mediate on Kashmir.*
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Trump said that he has good relations with Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Kashmir is a big issue between Pakistan and India. It should have been resolved so far if it is a dispute between both countries,” he said.
The US president said that he had offered mediation because both countries cannot resolve the problem.
He said that the US wants an end to bloodshed in Afghanistan.
US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that India will buy $3 billion worth of military equipment, including attack helicopters, as the two countries deepen defence and commercial ties in an attempt to balance the weight of China in the region.
India and the United States were also making progress on a big trade deal, Trump said. Negotiators from the two sides have wrangled for months to narrow differences on farm goods, medical devices, digital trade and new tariffs.
