Afghan Taliban stormed police checkposts in Afghanistan

TIRINKOT - At least two policemen have been killed and three other wounded as result of the Taliban attack in central Uruzgan province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Amanullah Khushdal told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Talani locality of the Tirinkot, the provincial capital late on Saturday night.

He said two policemen were been killed and three other wounded when the Taliban stormed police check-post from a private vehicle. The assailants managed to flee the area after their attack.

Meanwhile, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, the Taliban group spokesman, confirmed the incident and claimed killing four police personnel and as many wounded.
