Pakistan strongly responds over deadly suicide attack in Kabul, Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the shooting and suicide attack at a government building in Kabul on Monday that resulted in the loss of over 40 precious lives and injuries to many others.
“We express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the recovery of the injured. Pakistan stands together with the government and people of Afghanistan in this hour of grief,” a foreign office statement said.

“We also reiterate our solidarity with Afghanistan in their fight against the common enemy of terrorism,” the statement added.
At least 43 people died in the hours-long gun and suicide attack on a Kabul government compound, making it one of the deadliest assaults on the Afghan capital this year.
Another 10 were wounded in Monday’s raid on a site where the Ministry of Public Works and other offices are located.
