Peace restored in country: Ahsan

Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal says peace is being restored in the country and it is rapidly moving ahead towards the goal of economic development.

He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with Quaid-e-Azam day in Narowal on Saturday.

He stressed the need for undertaking collective efforts to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Ahsan Iqbal said the process of progress and propensity of the country will halt if we continue to fight with each other.

He urged all the political parties to show unity instead of acrimony. Pakistan does not need sit-ins and long marches at this stage while the PML-N government has put the country on the path of progress and prosperity.

The Interior Minister said Pakistan is competing with the economies of countries like India and Bangladesh where “no sit-ins are happening”.

He said instead of creating anarchy in the country, the all parties conference should be held to give a strong message to world powers including USA.
