LAHORE - Former CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif gets a blow from the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.
CJP took notice of appointment of former chief minister Shahbaz Sharif in board of governors (BoG) of the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI).
The chief justice questioned that under what law the former chief minister, PKLI President Dr Saeed Akhtar and others were appointed as members of the institute’s board.
A three-judge bench, headed by the chief justice, was hearing a suo motu case against irregularities and misappropriation of funds at the PKLI. Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan were the other members of the bench.
