KP govt spends Rs60bn to renovate govt schools

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has spent sixty billion rupees on provision of missing facilities in over twenty five thousand government schools across the province.
According to Directorate of Education, the missing facilities include furniture, boundary walls, clean drinking water, security, stationery, playgrounds and electricity.
The government has also recruited more than seventy thousand teachers to overcome shortage of staff in the schools.
