ISLAMABAD - In a unique scenario for the Asia Cup 2018 Pakistan, arch-rivals Pakistan and India can possibly face each other for three times.
The first encounter of the tournament between India-Pakistan is all set to commence on 19th September.
The 14th edition of the tournament will kick-off from 15th September, which will be played in its old form owing to the 50-over format.
Both India and Pakistan are placed in the same group along with the yet to be decided qualifier. However, after the first face-off on September 19 in group A fixture, if India and Pakistan qualify for the Super Four round, then according to their group standings both teams will clash for the second time.
As per ICC release, Group A winner will clash against Group A runner-up in the third match of super Four round on Sunday, September 23.
The possible scenarios of the third face-off between India and Pakistan, if both the teams will manage to make it to top two teams, they would fight for the title on 28th September.
