Diesel prices to be drastically cut by federal government

ISLAMABAD - Federal government has hinted at drastically reducing the diesel prices to give relief to the common man.

The price of diesel would be reduced by Rs17.

The petroleum minister Ghulam Sarwar has said that his strategy was to cut down the price of diesel and bring it down to the price level of petrol.

Moreover, Sarwar added that natural gas and crude oil reserves had been found in Sanghar.

Minister Sarwar also explained that the new government aims to speed up the work on the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) Pipeline which is also known as the Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline.

The minister also announced that the agreements regarding the liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports would also be made public.
