ISLAMABAD (APP): Sub-Committee of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday directed National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) to address CNIC renewal issues of the Pakhtuns , who are living in Pakistan since generations.
The Sub-Committee said that due to current verification of finger print system , citizens and government were facing embarrassment before different institutions of the country adding that policy should be formulated to further improve this system.
The Committee also expressed dissatisfaction over behavior of NADRA officials.
The Committee directed that Chairman NADRA should ensure his presence in future.
Briefing the Committee, Deputy Chairman NADRA said that ID cards of 45 percent of adults have been verified till now.
He informed the Committee that NADRA will re-verify 106 millions CNICs.
He said that NADRA has introduced access of online family registration certificate.
The meeting of Sub Committee of PAC was held under the convener ship of MNA Sardar Ashiq Hussain Gopang.
