Chief Secretary AJ&K tightens the noose

MUZAFFARABAD: (APP) Chief Secretary (CS) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Skinder Sultan Raja Thursday directed ERRA and SERRA to ensure the completion of projects within the stipulated time.
While chairing a meeting, he directed ERRA and SERRA to resolve issues regarding construction of water schemes of Satellite Town Lungerporah and Thotha colonies including Muzaffarabad city development project on priority.
He also took serious notice of water shortage in Muzaffarabad city and directed the concerned authorities to ensure uninterrupted water supply.
Chief Secretary was briefed that about 86 development projects out of 121 projects were completed and a special electric supply line has been laid down for the Makri treatment plant and the supply of water would be started within next two days from the plant.
He expressed concerns over the delay in renovation work of High Court building and directed to expedite pace of work on the project.
The secretary Sardar Zaffar Khan, DG Planning Urban Development ERRA Brigadier (Retd) Zaffar Wala and Project Director City Development project Brigadier (Retd) Riaz Noor were attended the meeting.
