Security beefed up ahead of verdict in molestation case against Hindu priest Asaram

NEW DELHI: In India, security has been beefed up in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Haryana ahead of the verdict to be announced today by a Jodhpur court in a rape case against a Hindu priest Asaram.

The Home Ministry said three states will deploy additional forces in sensitive places and ensure that no violence takes place after the verdict in these states having a large number of followers of Asaram. APP/AFP
