US to pressurise India as TTP-RAW links exposed

NEW DELHI  – India has on Sunday admitted alliance between its spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to report published in an Indian newspaper on Sunday, the links between Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) first emerged following the arrest of banned terrorist organization’s spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan.

The Hindustan Times report stated that the US increased pressure on India to reduce its support for the TTP. The US secretary of defense, Lieutenant General (r) James Mattis will raise the issue of Indian links with the TTP during his upcoming visit to New Delhi next week.

The report further said that by severing spy agency’s relations with the banned terrorist organization would mean India surrendering an active card in Pakistan and a role in Afghanistan as TTP additionally provides access to certain Afghan Taliban factions.

The US has also admitted that Pakistan has an important role to restore peace in Afghanistan.
