PTI government unveils date for bringing back Nawaz Sharif from London
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry has predicted that the government will hopefully succeed in bringing back former premier Nawaz Sharif from London by January 15, 2021.
While addressing a presser on Saturday, Fawad said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader went to London on medical grounds.
“Nawaz Sharif and others have plundered national wealth. We have no intention of keeping them in jails. They can have plea bargain, return national wealth and live wherever they want to. No one is arriving or leaving the country, only Nawaz Sharif will come back before January 15,” he said.
Referring to Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rallies, the federal minister said that opposition parties want National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) after plundering national wealth
“PDM movement is damaging economy. They [opposition] will eventually come to negotiations after this movement,” he said.
Fawad further stated that government has not barred Nawaz Sharif from addressing rallies.
“There is no restriction by government regarding Nawaz Sharif’s speech but we all know that he is promoting Indian narrative,” he said.
