Pakistan emerges as lead contributor to UN peace missions, 200,000 troops served across 28 countries

RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Armed Forces have emerged out to be the leading force contributor in the United Nations peacekeeping missions.
Pakistan Armed Forces have extended the best wishes to the UN on its 73rd UN Day.
In a tweet, DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan to date has contributed over 200,000 troops to 46 UN missions in 28 countries.
“We also pay tribute to our 156 peace keepers who sacrificed their lives for global peace,” he said.
