Diamer Bhasha Dam fund: Overseas Pakistanis Foundation makes donation

ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has made contribution to the Diamer Bhasha Dam fund.
OPF has contributed Rs2.62 million in Supreme Court and Prime Minister of Pakistan Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Fund.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director OPF Dr Amer Sheikh called on overcoming the water crisis for the prosperous future of the country.
“It is high time to work as a nation and overcome water scarcity through a national resolve and construct a better and prosperous Pakistan for our future generations.”
It is worth mentioning here that the staff and officers of OPF voluntarily contributed their one and two days salary respectively for this noble cause.
Yesterday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) contributed 3.4 million rupees for construction of Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams.
The fundraising for construction of Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams has reached Rs 6.4 billion, according to the latest figure on Monday.
