Pakistan cricket team crushed by Afghanistan in warm up ODI

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan on Friday conceded 11th consecutive defeat in One Day International (ODI) format as Afghanistan crushed green-shirts in warm-up match of the ICC World Cup 2019 here at Bristol today.

Batting first, Pakistan was off to a miserable start. At one stage, green-shirts were struggling at 65-3.

But a 107 runs partnership between Malik and Azam saved the day for Pakistan. Malik departed on 44 whereas Azam made 112 runs.

Nabi claimed three wickets whereas Zardan and Rashid removed two players apiece.

Chasing a modest target, Afghanistan were off to a brisk start from the beginning.

Left-arm opener Zazai hit Pakistani bowlers all-over the ground. He missed his century by one run.

After his departure, Shahidi took over the reins and kept score-board ticking. He made 74 runs and remained unbeaten.

In the end, Afghanistan crushed Pakistan by three wickets with 2 balls to spare.
