Adjournment motion in NA against drone attacks

ISLAMABAD: Adjournment motion has been submitted by Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf in National Assembly here at today while resolution has been passed unanimously in Punjab Assembly against drone attacks.


As per details, adjournment motion was submitted by PTI Parliamentarian including Dr. Shreen Mizari, Sajida Zulfiqar, Munaza Hassan, Nafeesa Khattak, Dr. Arif Alvi and Junaid Akbar.


They took plea in their motion that drone attacks are question mark on the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan and it is a high sensitive issue so it should be discussed in parliament.


Pakistani soil was used by USA to hit Taliban leader Mulla Mansoor which was against the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan, PTI leaders stated in their motion adding that contrast statements are being issued by Pakistan and USA regarding the drone attack.


US official statement claimed that Pakistani and Afghan governments were informed before drone attacks but on the other hand, PM Nawaz said that he was informed by John Kerry after attack. Adjournment motion stated.


It is requested in the motion to bring this matter in parliament suspending routine proceeding.


On the other hand, resolution submitted in Punjab Assembly was approved unanimously against drone attacks. The resolution was submitted by opposition leader Mian Mahmood ur Rashid.
