Complete shutdown being observed in occupied Kashmir

In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed today against the banning of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front by the Indian government.

Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership.

The Indian government banned the JKLF led by illegally detained Muhammad Yasin Malik yesterday for its pro-freedom activities.

Yasin Malik is presently lodged at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu under draconian law, Public Safety Act.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have also strongly denounced ban on Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front led by illegally detained Muhammad Yasin Malik.

In a statement in Srinagar, Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said such anti-Kashmir tactics will neither change the reality of Kashmir dispute nor the urgency to resolve it.

In a statement, spokesperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat said Indian government is using its military might with a sole aim to crush pious and legal movement.
