US drone strike near Pak Afghan border, Daesh Commanders killed

JALALABAD - Nine Daesh militants were killed in US drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar and Kunar bordering Pakistan, a military official said on Friday.

Afghan National Army’s 201 Selab Military Corps spokesman Col. Sherin Aqa Faqiri told Pajhwok Afghan News that the US drone fired missiles into a Daesh hideout in Haska Mena district on Thursday, killing eight suspects.

In neighboring Kunar province, a Daesh commander Abdul Haq was killed in a drone strike in Sawkai district, according to Col. Faqiri, who said the strike took place in Serai area.
