Farmers advised to start sesame cultivation

ISLAMABAD-Farmers have been advised to start sesame cultivation immediately and complete it by mid of July for getting bumper crop.
Spokesman of Punjab Agriculture Department Najaf Abbas said in a statement that sesame is playing a vital role in meeting the food needs, therefore, its cultivation should be made on maximum space.
He said that Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI) Faisalabad has prepared high quality seeds of different sesame varieties which will be provided to growers at concessional rates on “first come - first served” basis.
