SHC orders to draw up new laws within 6 weeks

Sindh High Court has ordered Sindh government to draw up new police laws within six weeks.

The court issued the order while hearing a contempt of court petition against the provincial Chief Secretary, IG Police and others in Karachi on Thursday.

Advocate General Sindh Salman Talibuddin informed the court that new laws pertaining to police force have already been drafted and sent to the provincial cabinet for approval.

He said six weeks are required to get the draft approved.
