Sheikh Rashid admitted in hospital in emergency

RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad underwent surgery on Wednesday after he was diagnosed with appendix.

The opposition politician was taken to a private hospital in Rawalpindi following complaints of severe pain in his abdomen. Sheikh Rashid later underwent a successful surgery of appendix.

It was not clear if the lawmaker went under the knife on government expenses as the MNA from Rawalpindi has not resigned despite a public announcement last week.
