MIRPUR (AJK: AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider khan said ‘’India’s unjust and irrelevant claim on Jammu Kashmir stand no validity for being false and baseless as it was categorically rejected by people of Jammu and Kashmir since partition of sub-continent.
He was speaking at a reception hosted in his honour by Pakistan and Kashmiri Diaspora in Brussels Friday night, says an official press message released to the media here Saturday evening.
Haider reiterated long cherished demand of Kashmiris for early grant of their birth right to self-determination.
India, he continued, had forcibly occupied the state of Jammu and Kashmir against the will of its people.
He questioned if a referendum could be held in East Taimour why not in the case of Kashmir wherein United Nations have already passed resolutions to hold plebiscite since last 70 years.
Farooq Haider said despite strong pressure and lobbying from India debate on human rights abuses in Occupied Kashmir was held in European Parliament which is a great success of Pakistan and a morale boosting to people of Kashmir. He disclosed that Chairman Human Rights Committee European Parliament had assured him in 2016 that he would raise human rights issue in EP.
“A whole generation has rendered sacrifices for liberation from India. Kashmiri women were harassed, raped and gang raped by Indian brute forces, youth in thousands deprived of their visions by the use of pellet guns by the forces and even children were not spared. World history has no precedence of such brutalities that were committed against people of Kashmir by Indian forces” he said. These people would accept nothing short of a complete liberation, he stated.
Paying rich tributes to APHC leaders for braving tyrannies for the mission of freedom he said we all need to make collaborated efforts and move ahead collectively. He asked the overseas Kashmiris to stay in contact with local leaders and double their efforts for aggressively highlighting Kashmir issue in Europe.
He invited special representative of UN and EU to visit both parts of Kashmir and see yourself who was engaged in abusing human rights of the people. He said we have nothing to hide in AJK while India had nothing to show except tyrannies.
